This is a small,
leisurely, unbroken trip, launching on September 21, 2012 from Lee's Ferry, Arizona
in dories - elegant wooden boats. We will have a
maximum of sixteen participants, plus eight support crew.
The crew is made up of highly experienced guides who have been rowing dories through Grand Canyon for many years. The outfitter is Tour West - a small, family owned business. |
| Several of the folks who have signed up have been on a Grand Canyon trip before, but some have never been on a river trip anywhere. No previous experience is necessary. | |
| We're going in late September during non-motor season, when campfires are legal, the light is beautiful, the summer crowds have thinned out, and it's cool enough for some beautiful side hikes. |
